Built Over Bot is located in W and F Small Engines this website was intended to be a website sharing our hobby of making things, not necessarily a business. However things changed when we made a few products that people liked. We are the first to admit we are not a rapid prototyping shop, I think we are more of a Artisan 3d Print shop that currently has 8 3d printers. 3d Printers are slow enough I question why anyone would call it RAPID anyway, however one advantage we have over most rapid prototyping shops is we have a location that is fully staffed and working every day no matter if we have printing work or not. This allows us to run a single job without waiting till we have enough work to justify someone being in to run the printers. We currently have printers with print capacity of up to 18 1/2 inches however most of the printers are smaller then that. We will print files for you and are open to designing files for printing however our website will be dedicated to custom work done in house for our printers. We also have a location that is open to the public and you can come and see the printers and talk to us about custom work. Call us for a price on customer work as we are probably not the cad and blender experts we would like to think we are so we quote work like that based on the design. Most of the work we are taking photos of is our designs made for our shows. We will try to list a link to any design we print that is from someone else as I am sure at some time we will do others work.

Pricing for Printing other designers files

As stated above we are willing to print designs found on Thingiverse or Thangs or even your own designs however since printers have different print times we would have to see the file to quote it. For example one of our printers would take 6 hours to print a file that another printer would print in 3 hours however only the slower printer would print a really large print. Also a lot of files require post print processing, and for design reasons some files would be more likely to fail during the print then others requiring multiple attempts to print it. With our current setup we have been able to run over 2 kg of filament a day threw our printers when setting up for a show trust me that is a lot of prints for our size of print farm.
